We were fans of the old Rookie's and were sad to see the building burn down. We were very happy when we found out they were rebuildingnd.
I walked in today to pick up a menu and was stunned by the new look; it's absolutely amazing. They have done such an amazing job with the space and even added a bar which they did not have previously. This is the type of pizzeria we needed in this town!
I ordered a white slice and a pepperoni pinwheel which were both delicious. I'm excited to go back again to enjoy the new atmosphere and reminiscent flavors. So glad they're back in business! -

I am just so upset. The food is pathetic. It's flavorless and made with zero love or care. I just don't understand how places up here stay open.

I brought my son to Florida originally to get him a crystal at the store across the street but they closed down, so in order to not make a pointless trip from Monroe, we decided to get him a slice of pizza.
We see this new, cool, hip looking place that is very eye catching from the outside and also on the inside. It's like a hipster pizza restaurant. So cool. Actually not so cool after all...
It took about 4-5 minutes of standing at the counter with my 5 year old, for someone to take our order. We were greeted by a young gal, very flustered, busy Saturday night - I get it. She says "picking up?" Not "hello" or "good evening", just "are you picking up?" So far not so friendly, but hey - they're busy!
We placed an order for one slice of pizza to go. She tells the cook, who has been running back and fourth from the pizza counter to the kitchen, cursing about something he's mad about, to give us our slice when it's ready.
A decent while passes, I ask for the slice to be taken out of the oven. He must have forgotten, again - busy night.
He takes the slice out of the oven, throws it on a plate and vigorously slides it across the counter, the tip of the hot pizza coming one inch from my child's face who is exactly counter level. I tell the guy he almost hit my kid in the face with a piece of hot pizza and he gets mad and tells me he didn't do that. I make it clear to him that I am not blind and I watched him do it. The pizza slice wasn't put in a bag, just slapped on a plate and slid across the small counter, right to my 5 year old son's face. Had it actually hit him... well let's not go there.
Typically I give a place 3 tries. Bad first try, I'll give it another go and a third just to make sure my review is appropriate. But this is different, this is behavior I will NEVER tolerate again. So therefore this place will never get another try from me, to redeem such disgusting behavior. -

The service was quite frankly terrible. The girl was sweet but new, didn't know anything about the food and just left is sitting there trying to get answers. Kinda felt bad for her. The bright spot was the antipasto salad was very good.
